The requirement of harmony and creativity speaks to me. I’d love to see these concepts applied to a projet timeline. Wearing my “design educator” hat, I have a few questions: 1. If you tried using these concepts with a class, would you let the students chose their own teammates to alleviate some of the anxiety of learning something so radically foreign to them? 2. Would you teach them guidelines for divergent thinking (eg, idea generating) and convergent thinking (eg, analyzing ideas)? I ask bc analyzing ideas is a tough thing to do harmoniously, but guidelines might help; 3. Would you warn them that some parts of the process, like prototyping, are harder than others? (There’s data from U of Virginia that shows when students transition from the idea phase to the prototype phase, morale goes down).
