Post-doctoral position in Industrial Ecology at University of California, Davis
The post-doctoral position seeks an applicant with training and interest in the theories, methods, and pedagogy of the field of Industrial Ecology. The position has two primary parts – (i) research, and (ii) program development for Industrial Ecology at UC Davis.  Candidates with research interests in dynamic LCA methods, clean energy materials, bioenergy, transportation, or food and agriculture are particularly encouraged to apply, but all candidates with enthusiasm and interest in the field will be considered for the position. The post doc and supervisor, Prof. Alissa Kendall, will work closely to develop a research project for the post doc. Program development work includes proposal-writing and contributions to developing a vision and framework for an Industrial Ecology program at UC Davis.
This is a 1-year post-doctoral appointment (with the potential for extension).  The position will start in October 2014, though later or earlier start dates will be considered. Post-doctoral position in Pavement System Life Cycle Assessment at University of California, Davis
The post-doctoral position seeks an applicant with expertise in life cycle assessment of pavement systems and/or civil infrastructure systems.  The position is advised by Prof. John Harvey (Civil and Environmental Engineering, http://www.its.ucdavis.edu/about/faculty-researchers/single/?person=harvey-john ),at the University of California Pavement Research Center (www.ucprc.ucdavis.edu ).  The post-doctoral scholar will help lead and contribute to research on life cycle assessment of pavement and related systems such as drainage, lighting and earthworks, including contributions to developing frameworks and methods for national and state transportation agencies.  Candidates with experience in pavement systems and materials, and knowledge of environmental product declarations (EPDs) and product category rules (PCRs) are particularly encouraged to apply.
